International Network & Partners

Aid has been received from the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, and other European countries.

Barbos functioned as a logistics center for the further distribution of humanitarian aid throughout Ukraine.

The foundation has a history of cooperation with international organizations: Greater Good Charities, GGI, Nova Ukraine, and others.

Origins and First Missions

The Beginning of Our Work

The United for Animals Foundation has coordinators in various cities across Ukraine.

These are experienced animal rights activists who are well-acquainted with the situation in their regions; they help identify needs, organize aid, and support shelters and caregivers.

Following the start of the full-scale war in 2022, international organizations began sending humanitarian aid for animals in Ukraine.

In May 2023, the United for Animals Foundation was officially established.

The NGO “Barbos,” based in Uzhhorod, became a humanitarian hub for coordinating the receipt, storage, and shipment of aid throughout Ukraine.

International aid was coordinated by a Czech alliance of organizations led by Yuliia Firka.

Operational coordination within Ukraine was handled by Iryna Azizian.

This collaboration became the foundation for the creation of United for Animals.
